Re: What are the pitfalls of the 116d?

To be honest, I had the same dilemma going on in my head a year ago, when we bought a 2012, 118d with 43k on the clock for my wife. She's had it a year now, with no issues. She doesn't do many miles during the week, a short commute to work, and running the kids to school, and back. In order to keep ...

Re: E91 330d starting fault

Thank you guys for your suggestions. It turned out it was the battery after all. So I've fitted a new battery and all is well again. All the signs were pointing to a number of different faults, as the car didn't even attempt to start. Normally it would turn over a few times and then die. Everything ...

Ok, I've had a look at the area where the battery is located, and everything appears to be dry.

E91 330d starting fault

Hi guys, I'm looking to see if anyone has any ideas. I drove home yesterday afternoon, and the car drove absolutely fine. Parked on the drive and left it over night. I washed the car today, went to move it off the drive, and now it won't start. It is totally dead. It locks and unlocks on the remote ...

Re: The World's most influential cars?

An interesting selection of cars. I would agree many of them are ground braking in one way or another but some I would have to question! One being the Renault Megane Scenic, Really!! Whats ground braking about that! If it had been the Espace I would agree, as it was probably the first people carrier...

Re: New motor en route.. not a BM but what could it be?

I had a look at an Alfa Stelvio the other week at my local Alfa dealer, and I have to say I was pretty impressed with it. I will be interested to here how you get on with it. Prior to my last two BMW's I had an Alfa 156 Sportwagon, and it was a fantastic car. It never let me down in the six years I ...

Re: EBAY FIND......OH DEAR!

It beggars belief that someone thought it was even a good idea to create that hideous monstrosity of a car.
I think the vendor will need to pay someone £15k to take it off his hands. It would probably cost £15k to revert it back to standard car.

Re: Charlie's E91 330d

I usually carry the bikes in the caravan on the way to where we're staying, and then use the cycle rack to carry the bike's around when we go cycling. I don't really like carrying the bikes on the car at the best of times, let alone a long journey. A tow bar mounted rack should be fine most of the t...
