Re: Any Connected drive specialists

NP01 - you are not alone in having problems with Connected Drive. Connected Drive Services seems to be in a bit of a mess this week - perhaps for longer. They tell me today that they have been having 'issues' for some time - but why they didn't tell me that yesterday, or the day before or last month...

Re: E46 Bleed Cooling System

How many bleed screws are you opening?

Are you bleeding with the heater on max?

I'm unfamiliar with the 316i engine, but my 320d had no less than 3 of them.

There is likely to be one on the radiator itself, one on the thermostat housing and one on the EGR thermostat.

Re: Diesel or Petrol

I've a 330d F30 and for my purposes nothing else can touch it. That's long journeys (6K miles round trip) across mainland Europe 2 or 3 times a year. The ZF 8-speed auto box is a perfect match with it. I'll never buy another petrol-engined car again. And as for anything electric or even hybrid - wel...

Re: 2009 Z4 S DRIVE 23S Tyre pressure

According to my Continental Luftdruck data book they should be 2.5bar on the front and 3.0bar on the rear.

The other problem of course is that if you buy a 2nd hand car it comes with 2nd hand tyres. ;)

Re: The hunt is on!! 335d Touring, where are you!?!?

Sorry, I should have said something about fuel consumption. Over the 43.00km (27,000 miles) since new my 330d has averaged 6.01l/100km (47.01mpg) That's 4 trips to the Balkans at 4,000+ mile a time where the performance was well used on the German autobahnen - over 130mph, at times when traffic and ...

Re: The hunt is on!! 335d Touring, where are you!?!?

I considered the 335D Touring when I was speccing up my current 330d. Unfortunately 335Ds are only available with x-Drive which I do not like at all - not only for the changed handling, but because x-Drives don't have M-Sport suspension. I also think that the Touring models don't have the lowered su...

Re: Runflat Tyre Inflation Kit?

Cars with run-flats get neither a spare nor an inflation kit. They are for cars with normal tyres but no spare - like the M cars. Loads of kits for sale on eBay, Gumtree etc. both new and 2nd hand. They come as standard on many Fords, LandRovers and vauxhalls, but peopleprefer a full size spare and ...
