Plastic bits around rear window

Plastic bits around rear window

Postby rgodri1 » 03 Sep 2017, 20:32

I saw a 140i at the BMW garage for sale, it had a sort of spoiler over the rear window and down the sides,it only looked like plastic bonded on! Also it had a plastic strip that stuck out a little bit under the sills. It looked ok so I went in and asked for a price, they quoted £580 for the rear spoiler thing including a black grill fitted & £270 for the side sill plastic bits fitted. This was at Knights BMW. I was expecting to pay around a quarter of that, what do you think of that?

The parts will be genuine BMW so carry a premium, but once you get into fitting at £100+ per hour chargeable, the price doesn't seem to bad to me?

Maybe ask our vendor - Barons - for a member price for the parts and fitting separately?
