Headlight warning light

Post by LT118d » 13 Mar 2017, 20:42

Hi everyone,

I have just replaced the headlight, sidelight and main beam bulbs on my car and have now got the bulb failure warning light on even though the company said that the bulbs shouldn't have any effect for the light to activate. Also when I now start the car the sidelight bulbs flash for a few seconds which they've never done before. Has anybody else experienced this?

Thanks in advance

I assume these bulbs were 'upgrades'?

Unless they are canbus friendly it will throw up an error.

Even if they are supposedly CANBUS friendly they can do this, your light module needs coding so it doesn't check the bulbs if you want to eliminate this completely

Yes they were upgrade bulbs. I have had a look on the website where I brought the bulbs from and they do sell an osram canbus control unit separately so will that do the trick for the warning light issue? Is that the only way to resolve the sidelights flickering by having it coded?
