Rear wiper motor seized

Post by LT118d » 19 Mar 2017, 15:50

Hi everyone,

I have been having issues with my rear wiper lately where it's been sticking every now and again and now it's stopped all together. I have took the motor out and water has been getting into it and has caused the shaft to corrode and seize. I have also removed the wiper solenoid and swapped it with the front one and now no wipers are working which means that it's now blown the other solenoid. Does anybody know how much roughly it will cost to buy two new solenoids? I know it's a common problem on these with the way it's designed.

Many thanks.

One to pose to Elms? I'd assume the solenoid comes with the motor, so sit down first!!

I've been having a look and it's the one in the fuse box behind the glovebox where I swapped them over
