Radio adapter problem

Hi guys
Am I being stupid? Why doesn't this after market adapter fit into oem radio adapter?

Ops! Trying to fit a after market radio adapter to the car's original radio point and it doesn't fit, that the two don't connect. The after market one feels like it's to big? Strange! I've for 3 of them and there all the same

There are two types for the E46 - a round pin version and a quad lock version. You don't need the after market adaptor if you're using the OEM headunit though?

The early fitting is round pin, the later is flat/oblong. Here's the early fittings lay-out:

Thanks Neal, that bit I've got working, the ISO plugs straight it to the factory plugs fine. It's hurt the radio adapter

I can't make out from your original post what you have? Have you got a Fakra on the new one and OEM antennae (male?) on the ariel lead?
