Amazon Alexa Dot

Post by Bin-The-L-Plates » 24 Oct 2017, 22:28

Wondered if anybody else has fitted one, as it’s an easy fit and has fixed the rubbish DAB reception that i have to suffer locally that restricts the radio choices I had.

I’ve a WiFi dongle in the car and run power from the USB in the arm rest and plug Alexa into the Aux in the arm rest. Sound quality is very good, and is Spotify is better through Alexa than it is through the phone.
Amazon Dot is fixed in a holder to the underside of the glovebox, out of sight and out of the way but picks up voice commands without a problem, she even understand my Stokie accent :d

Makes for a completely hands free system, radio (Tunein) Spotify or Amazon Music, Podcasts and even reads what I’ve got on my Kindle app if I wanted to.

I've just bought (literally end of last week!)... But I'm using it in the front room where it controls the Sonos and various other bits... Very useful.
