Coilover fitting and setup in Derby

Post by Simon1664 » 07 Dec 2015, 08:27

Hi everyone, new to the forum and to BMW cars. Recently bought a set of HSD coilovers for my 325 convertible, nice piece of kit but came with no instructions whatsoever. Although I am very capable of fitting them myself I would not have a clue how to set them up right. Could anyone tell me of any places in the Derby area that could fit and set them up for me.

Thanks for your help

I don't really know many places tbh. I've got a couple of friends on Facebook that could help if that's any use?

HSD's are pretty easy to set up. I can point you in the right direction if you fancy giving it a go yourslef

Thanks for your replies, I am happy to fit them myself it's just the set up of them. Am I right in thinking that for the softer setting you set the spring at zero and adjust the height on the damper? Is the best way to set up to fit them with everything set at zero run them in a bit then set the height with the damper adjustment then get wheel alignment done?

Thanks
