2014 BMWE National Meets - Review!

Post by M60NJP » 24 Sep 2014, 09:30

First off, massive thanks to the members who have supported and hopefully enjoyed our national meets this year. As a reminder they were:

Trentham
Uxbridge
Coventry
Players
(plus our birthday event in February, karting in Milton Keynes)

The Mod/Admin team do pick up snippets in terms of what went well/less well etc and try to build on them for the successive years, but here's a chance for any/all members to comment on their experiences this year (or earlier if you like), both the good and not-so-good and make any suggestions about what we can do/change/improve for 2015 . We can't promise every suggestion/like/dislike will be catered for, but would like to sound out everybody's views and ideas please.

Free format, so post away!

I went to Uxbridge, Trentham, Bovingdon and Coventry.

1. Uxbridge - my favourite show of the year, every year, plus its local to me
2. Trentham - good show and location, not the most exciting but I will attend if we go again
3. Bovingdon -       - Bizarre and I'm a 100% definite to attend next year
4. Coventry - Excellent show, rivals Uxbridge except for location and is different than all the others

All in all, thank you for a great show season, we've loved it

Another year done and dusted :d

All of the meets have been well attended with an attention to detail on the cars now becoming the norm. The meets were all good for different reasons but it's the people that make the shows now IMO not necessarily the cars.

So 2015 beckons with perhaps the odd pub meet before the annual Birthday bash which will take place early next year.

Thanks for your support

It's certainly been a good year for the shows and good to see a lot of new members supporting the shows. Some of the shows are becoming a little dated but as @RayB says it is more about the forum community. The effort members have put into their cars for shows has been outstanding.
I would like to thank everyone for all the support at the shows and roll on 2015. :-)

Can't believe another year has been and gone... very scary!! :)

I went to:

Trentham - nice variety, great location - little far away but will probably stay over next year.... Really enjoyed it...

Uxbridge - great show, great variety, very local!! actually got to see the 'other' field this year too which was good :)

Bovingdon - very strange, very 'select' but a definite for next year too!!

Players - love this show, even better that Tom could come with me (he currently works Sunday's so most shows aren't possible for him)... awesome selection of cars (although probably not to everyone's tastes)...

As said previously, the people as much as the cars make the events and we seem to have gone from strength to strength...

Keep up the good work everyone! See y'all in 2015! :)
aka Andy

I went to

Uxbridge - my first ever show, met some really nice people had an awesome time, got sunburn :)

Coventry - was a long drive for most but however great show not as many of us went to this one but was still a good day in all oh and got sort of sunburnt.

Players - excellent show had been looking forward to it for ages lived up to expectations, managed to avoid sunburn at this one :)
