Unfortunately that's old cars for you. But once it's done, good for many more miles

Age doesn't matter tbf... my 51 plate Arosa was strong as nails and had no problems at all.

It's just my bad luck.

Wellthe MOT advisories were to do with my brakes...which is why the 'seller' knocked £150 off the car....can't help but wonder if that was more down to something else.

My Mechanic got it on the ramp...and the track rod end was hanging off! Brakes were beyong being an advisory. Along with the TRE it shouldn't of even passed the mot, so can't help but think it was done dodgily.

But the good news is, I had new brakes all round as it's my family car so safety was my priority. new Track rod end, new clutch, rear number plate light fixed (it kept hanging down and annoying me) & the handbrake adjusted. Just need to get my bank 1 lambda sensor done and the rear boot catch and hopefully it'll be a reliable car.

Nothing but problems with this car...some will of probably seen on FB, went on holiday last week, car went into limp mode...got around for a few days, then it got worse and we got recovered home on Tuesday.

So far, we've changed the lamda sensor and the cat is all over my mechanics floor, fault code was 042 so sorted those. No fuel filter and exhaust isn't blocked, so thinking it's electronic....the one week when I need a bloody car as i have appointments, left right and central this week and it chooses to be a complete arse. :silent: :( :(
