Do you have I-drive?

I suspect the module is fitted, but not activated. So a visit to dealer or independent will be needed..........

It depends on the software, but there''s usually a 'Communications' or 'Telephone' option in the menu - if it's greyed out on the sub menu then it has not been activated at the facrory/dealership. I have heard it can be expensive to basically get a cell on a PC screen ticked at a dealer so do check - someowners just buy and install a Parrot Bluetooth kit instead as BMW's mobile phone connectivity isn't their crowning glory..................

I didn't have the phone connectivity in my 6er but I found someone to connect it all into the idrive . The cost was about £250 .
