Having a play on Autotrader.......

Post by M60NJP » 07 Mar 2018, 13:16

I hope I'm not the only one, but if I'm bored or fancy a break from work, I lob in some search criteria into Autotrader and have a browse - am I alone?

The criteria are usually the same/similar - 60k mile max, minimum 3.0 or 3.5l, private sales and however much I might afford when I next buy.

Some really odd stiff came up today!

Firstly, I'll pass on this monstrosity:

Quiite a few of the new RHD mustangs - nah, too common.place and not really that exciting

A lot of MB E63s - sound great, but don't want to have to ban myself from here!

Nice, but couldn't live with the colour!

Loiads more E63s - pages of them. What does that tell me?

Some Audi A6 and hideous A7s and a few Jag XFs............nah, even I'm not that old

Quite a few over-priced V8 M3s

Supercharged Range Rover? Porsche Cayenne? No thanks

A lot of car for the money, but.....dull!

Nissaan 370z? Chavtastic!

Right, back to work. Also fun is to use the same criteria and make the max £ about a grand and you can spot the occasional Lexus LS400 for a few hundred quid on its second return journey from the moon......

What do others members search for?

What the Hell's a Toyota Century 😁
Flick through the Interceptors now and again, or sob about how much I sold my Stag for all those years ago. :((

I'm always looking on eBay/auto trader
I start by looking for stuff I mite be able to afford and then end up looking at stuff I could never afford

The offer day I was doing random searches like just selecting the fastest 0-60 times and seeing what cars come up
Or just searching for 4wd cars and finding some random cars I've never seen or heard of before
The things you do when your bored

I've grown to like the new mustang
Didn't like the early models and never liked the classics (I'm more a Chevy guy) but the new RHD 5.0 is nice and should be fun
And at not much over 30k it's priced well

I've seen the Lexus about but I don't know anything about them
So that makes it an off the radar car so its second hand price will suffer so in 10 years time should be cheap as chips like the SC430
Life's to short to be driving boring cars
It's all about the old school
