Seeing as you've gone to all that trouble, I have a brand new, genuine BMW rear roof seal for a vert (this is the one that sits around the bottom edge of the roof, under the rear window section) which is yours, if you want it... Bought it for ours but never got around to fitting it... (shocker!! :)) )
Cheers
I'm not familiar with that rubber but as it's probably the only thing I've not changed it could come in handy

We've been on the phone to him a couple of times but all he says is bring it back and they will sort it out
Which is his legal way out (as his offering to put it right)
But as you can see from the workmanship his guys are capable of I wouldn't want him to go anywhere near it again
The other thing is they don't seam to know what there doing
so it's just a matter of replacing things one part at a time
I'm sure if we took it back they would of replaced the motor then said it wasn't that and it will need something else and so on until there was nothing left to replace
And then it would of been sorry mate can't help ya we've done what we can (it don't work)

That is just beyond belief, you could perhaps understand it from some back street car repairers but not a company that specialize in that sort of work

Glad you got it sorted, does look good now

Generally I would but I've never had anything to do with soft tops in the past so thought it would be best to give it to someone else
Never again

Not much to report
Two updates
A quick service
Oil
oil filter (genuine BMW)
Fuel filter (Bosch)

I've had problems in the past with the two rubber pipes that conect to the fuel filter
They can leak and generally they don't seal once you've removed them
So as part of the filter replacement I always replace the pipes and jubilee clips

The other update was the car was involved in a drive by shooting x_x

No biggy smalls tupac east coast west coast rap battle or drug gang related
Just mindless vandalism
Apparently there was a spate in the area over a couple or nights
It's a pain in the ass one because it was just before Christmas so couldn't get a replacement till after Christmas
And two because I had spent ages adjusting that glass when I did the roof
So I had to do it all again
It's all fixed now but I would have rather not had to do it at all
