Brave or stupid I have yet to decide which. I'll be up the unit weekend to do some more work. The bonnet cable was a pain in the ass however I'm on the slim side so threading the new cable through wasn't as bad as I expected tbh. Hoping to wrap up the rear brakes Saturday so that's all finished but we'll see

Next task is to sort out the diff.

That's a tidy looking E46 Touring. Nice colour, and polishes up nicely. Bit of a bargain for £900!

It's the 325i SE Model. Drives like a dream it's dead silent so I was actually surprised at the price been expecting it to explode but 200 miles later and it's still fine :D

Yup the touring was what I wanted as a daily to haul stuff around and it's such a nice drive. Good for picking up parts for the E36 ;D

Boo! I'm still around! I came back from a trip to Tokyo a couple weeks ago it was awesome!

I have finally gotten around to finishing up the damned brake lines. Everything's connected up finally! I just need to await the arrival of the freshly coated front calipers now. I've also decided I'm sticking the 16" wheels from the E36 onto the E46 so I can use the 17" Wheels on the E46 to fit the calipers on the E36. It's the cheaper option at least until I finish the rims up on the BBS Splits and buy new tires!

Diff carrier is complete too as I finally got round to fitting the rear bolts and replaced some of the rusted ones I had forgotten about while test fitting. So things are progressing. I return home soon! So I can put more focus in ^_^ Hope everyones doing well! and haven't lost any head gaskets while I been gone ;D

So I've been pottering along slowly! Ordered a new DA Sander + Mini DA Sander for starting the body work which I'm dreading still. Tyres for the front 17s should arrive tomorrow and I've almost finished the first pair of split rims! Calipers are being collected from the coaters this week which will complete the brake system of the rebuild 100%. Engine enamel is on it's way to start sorting out the block which is going to require a lot of cleaning. I have a full gasket set to replace every seal and such so that's a bonus. Also replacing all the old non essential specific bolts with A2 Stainless to reduce the time I have to spend crying when the new standard ones start rusting over again!

I need to source a black original roof lining for a E36 Loon as the one I retrimmed turned out shite haha! So in the bin and if all else fails Ill buy a new one from BMW Germany!

Here is a picture of the first rim! It's not 100% perfect as there is some very deep corrosion along the main face and it's deep enough in that I may have to get it re-cut but that's not a cheap option. Open to suggestions if anyone has any?

I'll get a few more photos up once I start the body work and these are fitted on the fronts to allow for the larger calipers clearance to fit!

They do still need a final buff down with compound to remove the small scuff marks from the 1200 grit but apart from that they are as good as I am going to get them by hand!
