Call for the Scottish Members

Post by neild » 14 Feb 2014, 12:51

I hope Admin etc dont mind me putting this here. Been a member a while now and although up till now i have not gotten very involved in the forum as my work shedule etc has not really freed me up for much computer time.
Im now in a new role with work that now see's me having the opposite ha...
I am pretty heavilly involved in Driftland up here in fife Scotland (My company sponsors the drift school) and i am also the Driftland Car Club Liaison.
As i am sure it was sam that mentioned on another post about fife having a rather large amount of e36's on the go mainly drift cars i admit, but i did have a good few BMW owners bring there cars along to the grand Opening weekend last summer and want to only build on the interest in our shows from a BMW prospective.
Be good if the Scottish guys and girls wanted to come together on here and put a stand at the future events and i am also happy to help with that if that was ok form the Admin side of things.
2014 is going to be a good year for events North of the border and with the passion i have for the BMW's i want to make sure there is a good turnout at events.
Basically again if Admin are ok with it be good to get a role call on how many scottish memebers are on here and also who would be interested in getting together for future events( whether it be at Driftland,Crail,Knockhill)

Cheers
Neil

We absolutely do support this entirely - the more regional gatherings we can get going, the better for everyone. Do reach out to the Mod/Admin team if you need some help. The one bit we struggle with is the reluctance (?) of members to fill in the location field when they join (or subsequently!) so we never know for sure the geographical spread of the members!!

I'd like to do a Scottish meet "wether i could make a set date or not is another thing"
Me and the wife used to go to Scotland ever year for holidays but it don't happen so much now days
So it would be nice to see how this pans out
Life's to short to be driving boring cars
It's all about the old school

Nice one thanks, as in my first post Driftland has a mass amount of BMW owners more so e36's and are drift cars but at last years Jumanji nights event we did a day for BMW's on show and attracted cars from all over Scotland. Hoping we can up that this year for some our bigger events in the summer :)

If I may - a great meets place for those towards the West is the Green Welly Stop at Tyndrum - A82 just West of Crianlarich. Loads of parking, fuel, eats, shops for the 'partners' to look at and the owners are petrol heads, car and bike.
