You have to register at https://www.bmw-connecteddrive.co.uk/ap ... ml#/portal
You also have to setup the BMW connected app on your phone download from Google play store or Apple.
Also have to login on the car but only after you are registered at the above website

Thanks for response @maxwell, I have registered on connected drive, car linked to app, even paid extra for BMW online services, when I go on my account it tells me the items that are active, And available to me, however it doesn’t seem to be getting info from server to car, also the update services function is greyed out in car, I’m thinking maybe something wrong with the combox

NP01 - you are not alone in having problems with Connected Drive.

Connected Drive Services seems to be in a bit of a mess this week - perhaps for longer.

They tell me today that they have been having 'issues' for some time - but why they didn't tell me that yesterday, or the day before or last month I haven't got a clue.

I cannot send map routes to the car using either:

https://www.bmw-routes.com/uk/en/plan-routes/index.jsp

or either of the two BMW apps.

I'm also told that the app called BMW Remote is now obsolete and has been superseded by the 'much better app called BMW Connected

The BMW Connected Drive web pages are quite contradictory - one page tells me that I have services - which don't work as I cannot connect to them.

Another page says that I need to purchase an additional service at a cost of £60.

When I go to select that service it says that it is not available for my car.

I am then given the option to purchase the basic Connected Drive package at a cost of £240.

Three different people at the Connected Drive Customer Support Centre assure me that I already have that £240 package operative.

I am at the stage of giving up.
Always had a BMW since I collected my first one in Munich - a 528i in June 1982.

You sound like you are having exactly the same issues @singvogel, I’ve been trying since November to get this sorted with connected drive Uk, whom in my opinion after numerous calls and emails they don’t even seem to know their own product. I’ve opened up another ticket today with them hopefully will get some answers soon, I’m convinced I have a SIM card or hardware type issue.. fingers crossed any updates I’ll keep you posted 👍
