Got a CD jammed in the head unit and it wouldn't play either so though no harm in taking it all apart, now stuck with lots of bits! Could be a motor jammed but still working on it

The way I figured, it was fooked anyway so may as well try and fix it, if not nothing is lost

holy $h1t!!! ... that's pretty drastic.. you must really miss One Direction!!! :))

Is now a bad time to tell you about the reset button which always works?!?!?! =)) (just kidding ;)) There is a service manual available for all Pioneer products so you might be able to Google it and find an 'unoffical' copy..... remind of the model number and I'll have a little look for you, if you like?

Cheers Andy, I think it's mechanical mate as the mechanism that feeds the dvd in is stuck in the closed position if that makes sense? Will get it apart again tomorrow and investigate further
