Well the cars booked into BMW main dealer today so they can investigate & repair for me. No idea what the cost is going to be yet but it's not gonna be cheap,I just feel if I don't get it sorted soon ill end up living with it & I really don't want that to happen, could be a bit of a issue if I sell it. "What ever you do don't press that button you may catch fire" ha ha.
Anyway I've been in contact with BMW UK through email & they've agreed to contribute towards the repair bill but who knows what that will be & how much there prepared to offer to help.
I e also spoke to an auto electrician & he's told me its not un heard of for someone to take a live from the electric seat to power the screens in the headrest but being a bmw with the battery in the boot that's highly unlikely.
Well it's just a case of waiting to hear back from them now

Fingers crossed BMWUK give a large gesture towards the bill

Yeah I was a bit surprised really because BMWUK had emailed me on thurs to say that they would "contribute" but by the time I had dropped it off this morning they were prepared to pay the total costs. The guy on reception couldn't of been any nicer really pleased with the service and outcome.its my first bmw & I must say with a after service like this I don't think it will be my last. Well done BMW I'm impressed.
